Hmmm.. the idea may be good but what's up with the composition? How about the contrast? This looks like an image straight out of the camera. There's a heck of a lot of empty space to the right and the main subject is almost centered.
Maybe this shot would benefit from some cropping and processing. I can't see the detail in the cookie. Give it a shot. Maybe I'm too picky? B^)

I would have liked to play more with the idea... but the other bag of oreos were polished off tonight. Many gave their life so that I may smile.

This CSLR Challenge round is really impressive by its variety of good theme interpretations. This picture is another case in point. I really love your idea here.
I wonder how it would look if the background were simplified to a plain white sheet. I.e., what would be the effect of having nothing but the Oreo package, the hand and the resulting shadows?
