From natural to artificial light

A cropped HDR image, taken as the lights on the pier were beginning to take over.
Amazingly, this was taken at the same place Bob took his shots the previous day, although I didn't know that until I got home tonight and had a look at the gallery.

My favourite too... by far! I am also playing around with a Topaz plug-in at the moment, but I have not quite become a fan yet. Regards

Thanks Bob and Nico.
Bob, yes we must catch up some time, if we don't run into each other at Williamstown or Altona.
Nico, I'm using Photomatix Pro. I have tried other HDR packages, including the module in Photoshop, but I prefer Photomatix.
Regards, Michael

Super work, Michael. The photograph is/was excellent to start off with already. (Thanks for posting the non-HDR version.) But I know for a fact I would also definitely have tried the HDR route with a photograph like this. And I think you did a great job of that too. Which software do you use for this? Compliments!!

This is really great Michael, we will have to catch up some day.

Nice composition ~ Regards Bob
