Snow Leopard

A zoo is a great place to take a camera,
even when you have to shoot through a wire fence.
At 63 years old I still love to go to the zoo to
see the big cats and the primates.

Thank you folks for all of your comments. I always appreciate feedback on my images. Mary Anne- I am sure that sharpening the eyes would enhance the photo, but unfortunately my post processing skills are very limited. I have Photoshop Elements 7 on my computer, but I can't seem to be able to isolate the sharpening to one portion of the image with that program. Ed.

This is a really nice shot, Ed, but I think it would have greater impact if you were to sharpen the eyes somewhat more. That's what we're generally drawn to in animal portraits, and it's not difficult to do in PS.

Nice shot. He somehow looks imposing, yet also gentle. Great eyes.

Lovely shot, Ed. I need to go to the zoo... I've been telling myself I would. I like how sharp this one's eyes and nose are. ~Lydia

Nice shot, Ed. I thought about going to the zoo for this challenge since it's only a few miles from me but then I thought about all the wild animals in this house and decided to go on a photographic safari inside my own home ;^) dtallakson
