Gosh O'Hemlocks! Lots of very good things working here, the curve of the stepping stones, the pier pointing at the sun. use of 1/3s, complimentary colors of the sky and sun, darkness and lightness - just plain excellent. As a super minor nit I'd clone out those planes/birds in the clouds, one on the left one on the right.
