Kanina

This is all color... not a selectively desaturated image.

Kanina is such a sweet horse. She's expecting a young one in just over three weeks. I can barely wait to see what kind of mother she'll be... and what kind of grandmother I'll be! :)

Thanks, folks! She's a tri-color paint, but the daddy is a buckskin and that's mainly what kind of babies he fathers. *sigh* I'm not fond of buckskins, but My Beloved is... so that's ok. :) ~lydia

Beautiful snowy landscape to show off your beautiful Paint horse. Be sure and post some pictures of her "baby" - it will be fun to see what the markings will look like! CJ

This is a lovely shot Lydia. You have captured her beautifully against a background that seems like it could have been a pencil drawing.

Really nice ~ Regards Melbob

Lovely shot, Lydia! I love Kanina's markings, they seem unusual, at least to me. ~Sharon

Thanks Michael and dt. Melanie, "Kanina" means "rabbit" in Icelandic. When she was a baby, her face looked just like a rabbit, so we thought the name fit. :) We have four horses (all quarter horses) now... with two on the way. ~Lydia

Beatiful Lydia. Falling snowflakes is an example of moving water that I hadn't thought of. We'll be expecting photos of the new arrival. Regards Michael
