I was with Traveller on this, whitening the upper teeth was not a "done deal" in my minds eye. However, I think it was an excellent suggestion and your restrained application in editing is striking. -Michael

Hi Alastair... definitely better IMHO, but you should really post the one you prefer. You are the chief-in-charge of this piece of art, after all. :-) Regards Nico

Well, you guys are really pushing me. That's a good thing. Scott Kelby didn't have any useful advice for this, so I had to make it up as I went along. What do you think? I've put the second version in pending for comparison.

Hummmm.....I'm thinking on Nico's suggestion....it's not a done deal in my mind. Traveller

Alastair, this is good... very good. If you would permit me one comment of something I would have considered doing differently: to somehow get the upper teeth whiter... I think that would enhance the image even further. Just a thought. Regards Nico

Alastair, that's exactly the book I would have used, LOL! Yeppers, I think it's a real improvement and well worth your efforts. Or, I could just quote Traveller and say "Zowie". -Michael

Yes, I think this better....as noted....Zowie...!....LOL (and you got to learn something) Best Wishes, Traveller

As if this wan't senouos enough you had to go and soften the skin tones. Zounds.

By the way, the earlier version is now in Pending, for comparison purposes.

Thanks for the suggestions Michael and Traveller. They drove me back to my Scott Kelby Photoshop book to the advanced skin softening technique, involving no fewer than four layers! I think it looks a lot better. What do you guys think?

"Cha-Cha Cherry" indeed! Very intense and delightfully red! I'll build on Traveller's comment a wee bit and say that I too find the skin tones a little harsh...perhaps some glamour retouching, but I can't suggest a specific technique since I'd have to resort to some PS books since it's not retouching I'm familiar with. Or, you could do nothing, LOL, since it's very dramatic as is. -Michael

Thanks Traveller and Nico. And she doesn't even like cherries, or wear lipstick usually! I had to buy some from the grocery store. It's even called "Cha-Cha Cherry".

Actually, Nico, at first I thought this was yours....but it is a little harsh around the lips....I think you would have smoothed this out a little. (no criticism intended)

I agree with Trav: I wish I'd done it! :-) Simple effective high-impact VERY red! Well done. Regards Nico

You got my vote! (and an autonomic response....lol) Lovely shot, wish I had done it. Traveller
