A simple title “Aged” but it intentionally has a diverse range of acceptable interpretations. This challenge is about producing an image in which the predominant subject clearly depicts “age”. The catch is, you must do so in “black and white” or ‘sepia toning’ just as would have been the case in earliest ‘film’ photographic times.
Some obvious subjects include (but are not limited to…) People and other living beings, objects such as machinery and buildings and certain types of landscapes or other scenes. In each case your skill in exploiting the ‘agedness’ will be judged by your fellow challengers and you will not have the luxury of using those beautiful colours of ‘patina’ and ‘rust’ to emphasise the ‘age’ unless you are skilled enough to do so in a ‘colourless’ way (except in the exhibition gallery).
Rules Summary: Normal rules apply for Eligible.. a Canon DSLR and the time frame of the challenge for shots and ‘Black & White’ or ‘Sepia’. ___ YOU.. the judges, decide, should there be an issue with tones!!
For Exhibition: The twist here is YOU CAN use colour! ( color) You can even enter the same composition as eligible but in colour if you wish. BUT you must not re-enter an image that has previously won a CSLR or CTF Challenge! (If it hasn’t won a previous challenge in Eligible or in Exhibition, its OK to enter it)
Let's do ‘old stuff’... and let's have fun... Regards Bob
