You can tell if you guitar was Team Built or Master Built by the logo on the back of the neck. If it says, "Master Built", it is team built. Doesn't meant you got screwed if you got a great guitar, though. If it speaks to you, enjoy!

My 1960 differs only that the head stock on top is also painted blue, same color as the guitars body.I took off the neck and there are 2 penciled in initials, that I really can't make out. Does this meen I have a team built? I also have the word relic stamped on the neck pocket & 8/2/04 is when it was built...not 2005 that I origionally thought. Any help with what I have would be great. I sure paid a master builders fee at $3100.00 American. I see alot of CS guitars on ebay for like $1600.00 - 2000.00. Hope I can get some answers because I bought it at Guitar Center & hope I didn't get screwed???
