Hi chris

Thanks so much for your comment on the bird pic. Man, those moving
targets are tough!. I really enjoy the S2 very much. It makes a
beautiful hi rez image. It has the nicest looking jpeg of any camera
I've seen. That shot was taken with jpeg fine at it's highest rez. the
NEF files give you even more latitude in post. But if you not in the
mood to sit around and post process tons of raw data, the jpegs really
look nice.

The D30 is also a wonderful camera. I think it's really a matter of each
user getting used to his particular camera and it's quirks. They all
seem to have their pluses and minuses. the faster focus, better
metering, lower noise, higher rez, etc. etc. really make the DSLR fun
for me. To be honest though, I still think that some of my best
"photographs" were taken with my coolpix 950 and 995:-)

BTW I REALLY enjoyed your work. Beautiful stuff. Your definitely in the
PS "guru" category.

P.S. you mentioned "Steve's" POTD. I'm not sure I know of this site. Do
you have the URL?

Thanks again and Happy New Year!

Wonderful reflection! Great catch! Send this one to Steve's for POTD! What were the shot settings? RAW or JPEG? I'm happy with my D30 (especially for the price) but that durn S2 always impresses me! Or is it just the photographer??
