At roughly 1200 feet, Golandrinas is the second deepest pit in the world. As you rappel in, the walls bell out, creating a bottom much wider across than the top. The pit is home to large number of birds which spiral in and out of the pit at dawn and dusk. Pictures will always fail to capture the real feeling of being at the bottom.
