I finally digitized my Uncles family album. It appears to contain an initial section relevant to the Browns of Selkirk and Galashiels, Scotland with the rest of the album belonging to the Goldthorps of Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire. Virtually all are unnamed which is so sad, a few of the Goldthorps I think I know. If anyone recognises any of these forebears please let me know and I will label them!! I have also now scanned these images using a much finer setting (1600 dpi in monochrome) than my Canon 7D will photograph - so these images I will replace.
