Spider A on Aug. 6

Argiope aurantia A,B,C, all found in the old field meadow on the east side of my house.
Argiope "A" is by far the largest and has a web approx. 50 cm. high by 45 cm wide,
with a dense stabilimentum. B and C are smaller spiders with smaller orbs --
approx. 40 cm high by 30 cm. wide. and long zig-zagged stabilimentum. Yesterday, I did
find another 2 A. aurantia orbs, but much smaller and the spiders dropped to the ground
when I tried to photograph them. I also found 2 A. trifasciata but they are small and
their webs no more than 20 cm. high and 15. cm. wide.

other sizes: small medium large original auto
