while checking stands of Purple Loosestrife for the presence of Golden Loosestrife beetles,
I noticed that many of the grapevines along nearby fences had many leaves covered in leaf calls.
Some also had mildew on the leaves -- probably due to this summer's damp weather.
Most of the vines were in the area from Jasper to Phillipsville.
