Drawing of moon as it looked on Jan. 29 - 2004

This is somewhat along the lines of what the moon looked like at around 9 p.m. on Jan. 29th.
Actually, there may have been more lines of light coming out from the ring around the moon.
I would have photographed it, but the ring around the moon was so far out that it was impossible
to pick the whole thing up with the camera... so this is a drawing using the moon from Jan. 31st
as a starting point. The large ring around the moon had parallel lines of light coming out from it.
It wasn't actually like they radiated out from the central point. They were more like parallel
lines running across the sky at almost equal intervals -- tracking northwest to southeast.
When one of them would intersect with the huge moon ring, it would terminate and then continue
from the opposite side of the ring to complete its arc across the sky. They didn't seem to be contrails as there were just too many of them and they were arrayed in an extremely parallel manner across the sky from horizon to horizon.
