Hi John, Yes, I think that was quite large and probably a male by the shape of the head around the snout. I've noticed that, when a small herd of javelina goes along the lane by the house, the male often seems to come out of the brush to look around, then he waits while the rest of the pack goes by, then he runs along at the end. I'm guessing it's defensive behaviour - the largest animal waiting at the end until all the females and their young have gone by. It's pretty neat. I think that the others had probably gone by already and triggered the camera, and it captured this guy at the end of the line.
