Scotney Castle near Tunbridge Wells, Kent

maybe already done to death and somewhat spoilt for 2014 by scaffolding everywhere, but it is the epitome of English Romanticism and survives it all. Yes all, including the C19th reduction of the original C13th-16th castle to a semi-ruin to look down on from a large new neo-gothic house
