Scotland - Knapdale & Argyll

One of our regular haunts based on the very flat valley of the river Add, discharging at Crinan and bounded on the south side by the Crinan canal (for that see canals gallery). Excellent cycling country and most of the images in this gallery uptil 2012 taken on cycle rides. Also do visit delightful museum and cafe at Kilmartin, the valiant ruins of the cleared village of Arichonan, cafe at Tayvallich and chapel at Keills.

gallery in process of revision again following 2019 visit. All images of Poltallock estate now in 'Road to the Isles gallery' https://pbase.com/crisscross/roadtoisles
