Loch Hourn

This Loch divides the Glenelg peninsula from Knoydart, the latter know as one of the remaining wildernesses of Britain with a large area across the loch with no road access. It is well worth driving the 20 odd miles from Shiel Bridge to Arnisdale & Corran at the end of the road and allowing a few hours to walk the path beyong Corran to its end, as I hope the pics demonstrate. The signs you see along the way to Sheena's tea hut are true and a very hospitable watering point

Sandaig between Glenelg and Arnisdale is the site of Gavin Maxwell's 'Camusfearna'- a bit overgrown and abandoned now, but worth a walk down
