Wonderful golden light on this fine scene. The church and castle appear like bookends. V

The castle was built in 1165 by Henry II trying to control a local Baron and covers the Butley river (leftwards in image) as well as the more obvious river Ore. The church was developed a little later in the centre of the village/small port that the protection of the castle also allowed and is sited at the village centre. The Baron is now best known for a very smelly local cheese

I would expect to find the church closer to the castle.V.

Nicely composed, with the towers rising up above the pretty landscape. I like the warm color, too.
