Chanel marker

The river Alde is heading towards the sea at Aldburgh, but the accumulation of shingle forces it south, and become the River Ore, for about 10 miles behind the Orford peninsula to eventually emerge at Shingle Street. Most days there is a trickle of boats coming in to the mooring at Orford and Aldeburgh, but not today
