lazybeds?

every piece of near level and rock free land is covered with the residue of this type of agriculture. Muck and seaweed were stacked up in rows and field crops including oats grown on them….sounds more like hard work beds to me as they were typically a quarter mile form habitation and the habitations several miles from anything like a market and 40 from one with mainland goods
