Thorpeness from Aldeburgh

Thorpeness was built as a holiday folly in the 1930s and the 'Castle' is actually flats. Shining out on the left is Dune House http://www.bdonline.co.uk/the-dune-house-thorpeness-by-jarmund-vigsnæs-architects/5014974.article continuing the tradition of building 'silly for the seaside'; the architects seem to have done the 3-D design forgetting the thickness of the roof finish, so some of the angles don't work out quite right…happy memories

Definitely some interesting looking architecture on the seaside! The angles may not work out well on that one building, but it certainly is flashy!
