When Basil Spence designed the new Coventry Cathedral, the glass was designed so that, after communion at the altar rail, when you turned round the full blaze of the glass met you to echo the experience. Here it is the other way round; you see all the bright glass looking towards the chancel and when you turn round, there is the dark chamber of the lowest tower level. But it makes the small window, my favourite in the church, so important....detail of window and tower screen follow.
