Whitbourne Hall...and a few more trees

Whitbourne Hall...and a few more trees

the hall built in the 1840s in Greek revival style; reputedly the client asked the architect to double the size from the first design and now most of the rooms are converted into maisonettes/duplexes. It stands on a knoll with a putative bury on its other half so can be seen for miles

other sizes: small medium large original

What a magnificent setting for this grand building, that must have kept a tribe of gardeners busy in the early days! v

Chris... I know this building. When I was working as an electrician for the then Midlands Electricity Board, I was one of several who did some rewiring there back in the 1970's. A nice green and leafy scene.
