Brenphort

looking down on a small but rare area of flat land on shore of Loch Craignish with the shells of the houses and sheep pen of Brenphort. This settlement inhabited (complete guess) 900-1900? has no road/track link inland at all. Locals reticent about it. On the other shore another lone ruin on Macaskin Island, but that looks associated with some sort of quarrying and of course the Islands relied entirely on sea communications.
