tierceron vault in C14 Abbey gatehouse

if you have ever wondered what the local peasantry of the middle ages thought about these amazing structures being built over hundreds of years while they sweated below and retired hungry to hovels, the naswer is 'not much'. This gatehouse was beseiged in the Peasants Revolt in 1381.
