Coniston Water

Relax for a day between fell walking! Cycling down the east side in the morning avoids too many motorists and the light filtering down from the forest to the left is a delight. Beyond the lake end continue to Lowick Bridge and find the Red Lion across the main road; suggest continuing past Lowick church and hall and back via delightful back lane to Blawith before re-crossing. A few other shots of the area thrown in. Visit Brantwood if you are a Ruskin fan.
