From the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam

I've always liked this book --

And lately, by the tavern Door agape,
Came stealing through the Dusk an Angel Shape
Bearing a Vessel on his Shoulder; and
He bid me taste of it; and "twas -- the Grape!!

The photos are my own - the statue is in a local cemetery as is the jug - the background was taken in a restaurant one evening. The door is from the French Quarter.

Reflections. Perhaps reflections of the soul. I have always loved looking at the reflections in the window, especially if it's one of my windows with my stuff that I'm looking at. Here it's like looking into another dimension of time. --skunk

I like the slightly wistful quality here, as behooves a piece of poetry from a different, and dare I say, more romantic, time. A lovely and romantic photo weave. It is great to see photos that relate to you personally and yet have universal appeal.

Great, Laurie. It tells it's story really well.
