hey bob your pictures are great i wanted to know if that bird that looks like the german flag a rare bird of some sort or is it a pretty common bird because i never seen one before but i saw one in my back yard today and was amazed now i see u taken pic of it well if u could answer thanks.

ALL GORGEOUS SHOTS OF GORGEOUS BIRDS, BOB.

I believe the Redwing Blackbird nests in reeds near lakes and rivers. I think they look great, and I love their color and their song on a clear Spring morning.

to Cathy - The bird you question is a red-winged blackbird. They often hide in grasses along waterways and if you drive by like of gravel the birds will spook. You are likely to spook a whole flock. We need photographers like Bob.
