These pictures were taken in 2001. The building looks nothing like this now. Go to flickr and search for Waverly photos. I have some on there as well as other people. You can see what they are doing to the place.

That's the trouble though, isn't it? The more people want to come to be scared witless, the less real restoration will occur.Which bits are being restored then? They must be very small parts of the building....this bit looks frighteningly in need of attention.

They actually are restoring it. They've been doing it for years, and they have a very good haunted house as part of the fund raising effort. The scary pics you see are areas that haven't been restored.

i dont think that they should tear it down,i think that they should restore it and fix it all up and re-open it up as museum or something historical

I think they should tear it down why keep something so horribly sad up. Why keep up the old reminder of what happened to those innocent people. its sad all around

the owner dug out the dirt around the foundation to see if the foundation would crack so he could legally tear the building down.
