Hi, I visited I Israel several times in the 70's. In fact, I was an exchange student at Kfar Silver near Ashkelon from Sep. '72 to June '73. I used to walk to Ashkelon National Park from school very often and found this place to be totally fascinating. I felt like I was going back in time walking by the olive trees and beautiful ruins. The Nike statue here was my favorite place in the entire park. I would sit and marvel at it on sunny afternoons. It added a mysterious, timeless charm to the park. Looking back, I am lucky to have found such beautiful park where the ancient past seemed very much alive. Glad to see the pictures here. Brings back many memories for me!
