Suqing Liu, born 1938, a self-taught Scisor-Cut artist. Without graduation from Liaoning Electrical Engineering College, she was exiled to a farm with her family in the "Great Cultural Revolution" from May 1966 to October 1976. She educated herself and got a job as an accountant in 1977 when her whole family moved back to Shenyang - the center city of Northeast of China. She retired in 1993 due to health problem and began to cut papers since 2000. The following scanned graphs are a portion of her artworks. Most of them are based on her imagination and memory of her childhood life. I am so proud of her since she is my mother.

The artworks here are unique. Most paper-cut pieces you can find on the street are made from die cut. Some others are cut using blades. But the artworks shown here were purely hand made using only a scissor.
