:: Pictures from around Southern Ontario, Canada ::
Pictures I have taken that have caught my eye and hopefully yours. They cover a wide range of interests and cover night shots and Waterfalls which is quickly taking over as one of my favorite subjects to shoot, to simple nature pictures which I also enjoy.
:: Birds of all Kinds ::
Alot of these pictures taken close to my home, Many taken at my cottage I have the Scarborough Bluffs very close to my home which seems to be a hangout for alot of different birds, which allows me to see quite a different cross section of birds on any given day.
:: Multiple trips To The Toronto Zoo Winter, Spring, Summer ::
A wide variety of the animals, birds, & butterflies seen at the Toronto Zoo which is the 3rd largest zoo in North America, and the Largest in Canada @ 710 acres. It is home to 5,000 animals, representing 460 species. It is divided into six zoogeographic regions: Indo-Malaya, Africa, Americas, Australasia, Eurasia and the Canadian Domain. Each region showcases animals and plants from that area of the world.
I hope you enjoy your trip to the zoo through my pictures and that maybe during next trip through Toronto you will be inspired to come and visit it.
:: Alaskan Cruise 2006 Aboard the Norwegian Star ::
Some pictures I took while on a cruise to Alaska aboard the Norwegian Star out of Seattle. We traveled during the week of June 25th to July 2nd a excellant weather period to travel to Alaska. I would go back in a heartbeat especially now since I have a decent camera to capture the beauty of Alaska, although the camera I did use did the job. 3.2 megapixel Olympus
:: Norwegian Sky Caribbean Cruise ::
:: Mallards in Flight ::
Like the gallery title implies these are pictures of Mallards in flight. I find it challenging for both myself and the camera to properly capture the birds as they fly by. I try to go on bright sunny days so as to increase shutter speeds and really stop them in action. Shooting in winter also helps light the subject from below as the light bounces off the ice and snow.
:: A Autumn Gallery ::
Pictures I have taken while travelling around Southern Ontario. To and from the cottage, & nearby parks close to my home.
:: Some of My images with Fractalius applied to them ::
:: Grand Bahama Island 2009 ::
:: The Scarborough Bluffs & wildlife found there ::
The Scarborough Bluffs is a natural forming bluff on the south shores of Lake Ontario. They have been overly protected (in my Opinion) by planting trees on the bluff to keep them from eroding which esstentially destroyed the Bluffs as they are overgrown with vegetation to the point it just looks like a bunch of hills. The part that is not and can't be protected looks like nature intended.
