Hoffmann's Two-Toed Sloth - Choloepus hoffmanni - Hoffmanns Luiaard
East-Honduras to West-Venezuela south to Peru, East-Bolivia and West-Amazonian Brazil.

The following 6 subspecies are being recognized:
Choloepus hoffmanni hoffmanni - Nicaragua to Northwest-Colombia;
Choloepus hoffmanni andinus - Colombia (Salento from West Quindio);
Choloepus hoffmanni augustinus - Andean Valley of Colombia, Northwest-Venezuela and North-Ecuador;
Choloepus hoffmanni capitalis - Pacific lowlands west of the Andes of Colombia and Northwest-Ecuador;
Choloepus hoffmanni pallescens - East-Peru and adjacent Ecuador;
Choloepus hoffmanni juruanus - West-Brazil Southeast-Peru and North-Bolivia.
