Vanellus chilensis cayennensis - Northern South America;
Vanellus chilensis lampronotus - Central- and East-Brazil to North-Chile and North-Argentina;
Vanellus chilensis fretensis - South-Chile and South-Argentina;
Vanellus chilensis chilensis - Central-Chile and Westcentral-Argentina.
