I think Deer Island is the "Cadillac " of shore diving in Maritime Canada. After 30 years of diving I like to come back to Deer Islan d every couple of years to see what a diversity of life exists.

The sea ananomeos are my favourites. Ignor my poor spelling right now I have just spent 1 1/2 hours filling tanks at an outside filling station. I am numb.

The wolf eels are quite friendly. Hugh showed me these in July of 2006 and they seem to have become more photogenic since.

You NB divers are lucky to have such a great dive site in your back yard. I do a lot of Nova Scotian diving but I am envious of those of you who have weekly access to Deer Island
