This image stands out in an excellent gallery as something very special. It has that timelessness about it, almost as if it is astill out of a 1940's Hollywood musical, like Singin in the Rain or such like... Classic romance, excellent abstraction, blended nicely with excellent technicals and composition. A real winner..

How did I miss this, Sean. It is a lovely image, so rich in its rhythms and depth perspective and abstracted building. But the sliver of the moon and the two blurred people set the picture into motion. I just went back and noticed that you had posted an earlier version of this in color a few months ago. I can see why you added the black and white rendition. You increase the level of abstraction by removing out all competition from the coloration created by the street lights. The color shot is nice, but this black and white is superb. I also like the inclusion of people as well -- there are real people in Cambridge, and you make use of them here to bring this image to life.
