New Years Day Sunrise on the Hailstone
Winter is austere, but compelling. This is about color and texture as much as anything else. A winter daybreak and the Buffalo National River illuminated with light broken by the tree line.
October at Big Hollow
Again no elk, again a middlin' landscape.
October Sunrise at Big Hollow
Taken October 7, a day when I went out after elk and came back with otters and a landscape. There is no predicting what the day will give up. Plan as you will, nature still offers what it will. Not a bad fall back in this case.
Fall on the Buffalo River
Taken October 6. We are entering fall color season. It has just happened the last few days.
Buffalo River Reflections
This is where I was sitting waiting for an elk crossing. Just to be out there is enough if the elk never show. This is the magic of the Buffalo National River.
