Crimson Katydid

Compton, Arkansas

This may be the rarest creature I will ever photograph. If you google crimson katydid you will learn that this mutation occurs something like 1 in 100,000 hatchlings. They usuually don't live long, the camo is lousy. I have a 5MP file of this if anyone is interested in purchasing a print or for publication use.

Perhaps Mother Nature has attempted to contact you to deliver a message of sorts-to see something so rare and beautiful...it must have been a wonderful moment in your life! Or you decided to sell it for cash that you can use to destroy that which gives you life.
