This was our first official COMA club walk of the 2008 season. Roger Willson was our walk leader at the Zofnass Family Preserve entrance to the Westchester Wilderness Preserve - part of the Westchester Landtrust. It was a bit early to find much in the way of edibles, but we did find plenty of fungi to examine. Among collections were: Trichaptum biformis, Stereum ostrea, Stereum commune, Fomes fomentarius, Trametes versicolor, Tremella mesenterica, Rhizomorphs of Armillaria sp., Exidia recisa, Ganoderma applanatum, Phellinus gilvus and Polyporus brumalis.
