You should stretch your mind (and ours), Beth, by doing more images such as this one. You leave the literal world behind here. You are no longer making pretty pictorials. Rather, you are challenging your viewer to see and think and feel in a new way. You are asking them to use their imaginations. And that is what expressive photography is all about. This image speaks of ideas -- the light bulb (a common symbol of an idea, originally defined by Edison) is etched into the shadows and integrated into forms that unite it with shimmering water, a metaphor for calm and tranquility. It gives us a feeling of transmission, spread, and communication. A wonderful abstraction -- others will see other things in it, I'm sure. You show us less here and you say so much more in the process.
