Oman – the Land of the Sultan

In November 2009 I went on an eight-day birding trip to northern Oman with Swedish birders Hans Larsson, David Erterius, and Markus Tallroth. We cruised back and forth bewteen Khatmat Milaha and Ras al-Hadd searching for the specialities of the area and spent all nights but one sleeping under an open, star-speckled sky. The end of November and the beginning of December turned out to be an excellent time for birding in northern Oman.
