The Gambia – the Tiny Jewel of West Africa

(Spring 2012 - The album is being thoroughly revised and updated!)

In 2008 I spent four and a half months in The Gambia writing my BA-essay in Linguistics. I was stationed in Fajara and also took some additional courses at the University of The Gambia in Serrekunda. I was fortunate enough to be able to experience more or less the entire country during my extensive stay. The Gambia is a very small and poor country with – given its size – an astonishing avifauna.

Make sure you view the pictures in original size for the best quality. See size options under each photo. No pictures can be used without permission.
