March 2011. My daughter Alisa accompanied me on my annual trek to this beautiful place. The weather was perfect--cloudy skies and a hint of rain kept the temperature down. There were many wildflowers--some of which I had not previously seen--and some birds, but we did not see any bighorn sheep.
March 2010. The area was especially pretty this year, since the winter brought more rain than in the past few years. Water and flowers were plentiful. I saw one big-horn sheep, but I know that there are many more out there somewhere.
Update March 7, 2009. I've visited Anza-Borrego for the fourth straight year and once again was lucky enough to see big-horn sheep.
These photos are representative of my third annual trek to Anza-Borrego, specifically Palm Canyon.
It's always a treat to go to this beautiful desert park. This year, there were more wildflowers in evidence, compared to the past two years.
You've got a real stunner of a gallery here, Dan. I've never been to Anza Borrego in the spring and this sure makes me want to go! You've got too many wonderful images here to comment on all of them!
