The statue in white flowing robe is “Guanyin”.
In China, Guanyin is usually depicted as a woman
while in other East Asia countries may depicted as a man.
She is immensely popular among Chinese Buddhists.
Guanyin is generally seen as a source of unconditional love and more importantly as a savior.
The one in green robe is “Guan Yu”, a general in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.
He is one of the best known Chinese historical figures throughout East Asia.
Today Guan Yu is still widely worshipped by common folks and referred to as “Emperor Guan”.
In Hong Kong, a shrine for Guan Yu is located in each police station
because most Chinese policemen worship and pay respect to him.
