Boy does it snow up here in Aomori, the northern most prefecture in all of Honshu. But when spring rolled around and the snow melted and the trees started to bud, there was a breath of fresh air and a sense of newness....rice fields everywhere, every weekend had some sort of matsuri(festival) to see, and beautiful landscapes to check out.
