Jenson Button's future is shaky.

Hockenheimring, Germany

Good news is: teams are fightig over him. The bad news is: They're not the right teams.

How a few months changes the F1 landscape. Honda has bought BAR-Honda. Button has now, with resportedly huge financial help of Honda, bought himself out of the Williams contract. He must be very valuable to them to pay such a high price. Mind, a team is nothing without the drivers to drive the cars and good world-class drivers a few. Honda must be investing hundreds of millions such that 20-30 nmillion is not a problem.

Rubens Barrichello is to be his partener for the next few years. That should be an interesting pairing. The question is has RB simply moved teams to be yet another second driver - the Honda team is built around Button just as Ferrari is built around Schumacher. I see RB is talking of winning a WDC, as he did before he joined Ferrari... My guess is that Button is decpetively good. RB, like MS, Ralph, Trulli, etc., are over the hill - they've had their time. Alonso, Kimi and Button are the new champions. The ex-WDC Villneuve got a severe beating when Button first joined BAR-Honda. I think RB is in for a surprise.

Anyway, looks like a good season ahead with all the new rules too.

You've got some great photos here. I enjoyed looking at them
