The Blue-winged Teal again at South Gilmourton Pool, near Strathaven, before flying off north.
Observers, particularly photographers, are requested to avoid disturbing the bird by viewing from a distance. The owner of this site installed a "viewing platform" several years ago, however it is far too close to the main pool and using it disturbs any birds that are present.
A drake Smew again on the Aird Meadow, Lochwinnoch RSPB Reserve, also a Swallow and singing Willow Warbler.
Nearby, two Greenshank still at the south end of the Barr Loch.
Two Iceland Gulls (a 1st and 2nd-winter) still on Hogganfield Loch at 1600 hrs.
A Short-eared Owl hunting at Harelaw Reservoir, Barrhead at 1515 hrs.
At least two singing Willow Warblers at Walkinshaw Gardens, also still four Whooper Swans in the area.

The drake Blue-winged Teal showing well on South Gilmourton Pool (NS660397) in the morning, but more elusive in the afternoon when it flew off on to the Avon Water at 1330 hrs, also an Otter there in the morning, and a female Hen Harrier in the afternoon.
