Took a 6 Day trip over there during my company July 4th Shutdown, quite a lot of driving back and forth multiple times between those spots i want to shoot in both parks, due to rapidly changing and unpredictable crazy weather.
On Wed it rained like 4 times when i was there, each time last for less than an hour, like when i first got to Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, it was raining pretty hard, just about I am about done and packing up all my wet gears it stopped and sun came out......when got to Oxbow Bend the first morning trying to shoot sunrise, all the clouds disappeared few minutes before the sun came up..... but the other side still look so nice, so i had to rush back to T.A Moulton Barn trying to see if i can get those clouds in the background with the Barn, not to mention I have to work with so many other crazy photographers there too and not to get in someone’s frame and not having them in my frame..... and after that, rushed back to Oxbow Bend right away hoping the clouds has now moved in to the right position and water still calm enough to get the reflection all in one frame.....it’s almost like a road rage, once finished one and everyone trying to beat everyone else to get to the next location and get the best spot…..it’s funny to see how photographers compete with each other and at the same time how well photographer work with each other. .
I did a similar trip in fall 2014 and remember the Oxbow Bend in the morning. You did a wonderful job here regardless of difficulties. Your Grand Tetons images are stunning. My compliments.V
