Macro

Flowers & Experimental Macro
Not all of these are taken with a "macro" lens. I typically mount a Canon 500D close up element on a 100-400 IS or 70-200 f/2.8 IS lens for macro. I have a long way to go to approach the techniques demonstrated by George Lepp and the like. How he can find the perfect flower in a field of 10 million is beyond me...

Most of these were taken near Morro Bay (Black Hill) or at Montaņa de Oro State Park (See the link http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=592 ). Not a good year for poppies - I have not seen more than a few dozen in a single clutch. It is May now and the wildflowers have probably peaked out. (Back to the Lepp literature...)
